DIY JEWELRY DISPLAY [NY RESOLUTION #1]

Make a fresh start to the year by organising your wardrobe - starting with the pile of jewelry strewn across your dressing table. DIY a super organised (and pretty) jewelry display using not too much more than whatever you have lying around the house. I love to have a few different ways to display various pieces of jewelry so it's all visible and accessible when I'm putting an outfit together. Here are a few ideas that you can mix and match.

Bowls - Use pretty bowls to display rings and bracelets. You can also use antique ashtrays.
Branch/twig stands - Create a jewelry stand from branches and twigs and hang from the wall for easy access. Check out this tutorial to make your own stand.
Picture frame display - Attach string or wire horizontally across the inside of picture frames and then attach to the wall. Then hang your jewelry.
Astrological Hand - Perfect for stacking rings and available here.
Cork Board - Store your jewelry amongst your postcards and favourite party pictures. Dot the cork board with pins and hang with your jewelry.
Antique Cake Stands -  Glass domed lid cake stands make for a lovely way to store your jewelry and keep it from getting dusty.
Chocolate Box Ring Tray - Use a Ferrero Rocher tray to store your rings. How. Good.

Have you got any other ideas for jewelry storage and display?

i actually made a bunch of these as holiday gifts for my girlies. instead of tape, i glued the aluminum sheet into the frame with E6000 glue. very sturdy. and then i added a rubber foot on each corner and a ReadyNail Saw Tooth Hanger. works like a charm!

  19. Fabulous inspiration! At a friend's home recently, I noticed that she had attached a cord to a a sushi-rolling mat and hung it on the wall, and was using it as an earrings-holder. She just stuck the hooks of the earrings between 2 of the bamboo pieces in the mat...it was ingenious! I'm thinking that it might be cute as a painted-white version too...

  26. Love the branches idea! I recently DIYed a new way to store my jewellery: I bought an pretty old teacup from the salvation army, complete with its saucer and plate, and glued the three pieces together in a stack (saucer on top, plate underneath). I keep rings on the bottom layer, small earring on the top layer, and hang hooked earring all round the outside! I'm planning to stack more cups and saucers to make it taller.

  27. These are great possibilities to keep the jewelry. I love the frames. It looks so nice and does not take much place of the room, which is important in a 12 m² bedroom ;)

  39. oohhh.. lovely! Thanks for sharing these pictures. I am also re-organizing my closet and bedroom and is looking for a more clever and systematic way (and beautiful) to store and display my jewelries and accessories. I am currently using a kitchen utensils hanging rack as a way to display my necklaces and tin cans to store rings, bracelets and bangles.

Looking forward to more DIY ideas from you. :)
